Since Petals in undergoing renovation and the Management isnt keen on giving us off days, they resort to sending us to some events. yeah FREE LABOUR. ahhhs. enough of grumbles.. haha i guess most of us have been grumbling since the day we knw of this event and everything got worst when most had to take cab home cos the event ended at ard 11.15pm. heard from Yuki that it can actually be claimed but sadly a few of them forgot to collect receipts!
tiring part aside, we saw the bits of glams during the whole event. the rich and famous dining together, bidding for paintings of thousand bucks. woo, i guess diff status juz a totally diff kinda lifestyle. 1 table at the dinner was ard 10k, which means 1k per pax!
well the highlight of the dinner was that, the 7 course dinner was prepared by 7 distinctive famous chefs in singapore, including Sam Leong of Tunk Lok Group.. esp mentioning him cos i only knw him among the 7 famous chefs! haha.. and of course, through this event i got to recognise 6 others..
planning of the event done by Conrad was pretty disappointing, as i always thought they're one of the few hotels with pretty strong manpower and of course of pretty much positive comments from others and my own experience. but this particular event was inefficient and messy. we had team leaders but they wasnt very experienced nor did they give me/us a very good sense of security. like at some pt in time, i got really lost.. glad that, as the event went on through the night, it got better juz more n more tiring!
imagine we gotta serve with gloves on, sweaty palms and all.. yucks right..

the blocks of green apple are cooked in 3 different ways, poached, baked and pan-fried.. its the most tempting of all manz!
